The purpose of the Hazlehurst Area Chamber of Commerce is to promote particular programs designed to enhance the business climate, quality of life, and community awareness, and to represent the interests of its members.

The Hazlehurst Area Chamber of Commerce is non-partisan, non-political, and non-sectarian.

The Chamber works closely with Copiah County Economic Development and Keep Copiah County Beautiful. There is a also a good working relationship with the Crystal Springs and Wesson Chambers of Commerce to serve all Copiah County.

A ten member Board of Directors, which is selected by the entire membership, governs the Chamber. The Board of Directors meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:15 PM at the Chamber office in the Depot. The work of the Chamber is carried out by these committees:
